Newsletter November'21

In several countries, security measures were tightened again. So too in Belgium. Our favourite sport, running, remains possible and even in groups or competitions. Marathon and More Belgium will continue with the planned calendar. We have reintroduced our candidacy for the Belgian Championship 24-hour Run (which we would like to organise on 19 and 20 February) and for the Belgian Championship 100km (which we would like to organise on Whitsun Sunday 5 June).

The try-out of the Sinterklaastrail has just ended. Thanks to the new start location, we immediately end up on unpaved paths. Even more fun for those who like to run through the woods. We take all safety measures into account and keep it safe. Not yet registered? Then do it quickly! The pre-registrations for the 2nd edition on Saturday 4 December are still open. Especially the 23km that starts in the morning and the 45km are already more than 1/3 full. We have also designed a technical T-shirt with long sleeves that you can order with your registration. (Have you already registered and do not have a Corona Safe Ticket? Then fill in your bank details before 1 December via the self-service link in your confirmation e-mail for a full refund).

The warande park route is also coming soon. Under the concept "route" we will offer several plotted races with various start times spread over one or more days. This concept is suitable for the social runner. But also for the runner who likes it a bit quieter, because the number of starting places per start wave will be limited to a maximum of 30. The warande park route falls on Sunday 12 December. This run coincides with Werledlichtjesdag and is for the benefit of 2 charities that focus on the loss left behind by deceased children. You can participate to run the fastest lap, to run a marathon time, or just a few laps as you like. At 19h there is the typical candle-lighting moment for World Relief Day.

At the end of December there is the try-out for the Running Center Bostrails Aalter and on 15 January the bostrails themselves are back. But we will tell you more about this in our next newsletter.
